Hello, I was reading the article and I found it weird that in certain instances decimals were specified while in others such as the dinosaurs lenght: 12 meters corresponding to 39 feet and not 39.3. Burghermaker (talk) 22:47, 24 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
According to the article, the name is pronounced with a hard G (as in the word Guy). However I've seen several researchers choosing to use the J sound pronunciation ('Jiganotosaurus'). The reference to the pronunciation on Wikipedia is a book about Walking With Dinosaurs, which while being an educational program, is hardly a reliable source of information and most likely picked a their own way to pronounce it, not based on any critical proof. Is there any source that clarifies the name? From what I could gather, Jig is nore acceptable amongst paleontologists, though it's more or a tomato-tomato. 14.200.238.37 (talk) 12:23, 9 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
