Robert Pattinson (born 1986) is a British actor known for his work in major studio productions and independent films. He played minor roles in Vanity Fair (2004) and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), the latter becoming the highest-grossing film of that year. He continued taking on small roles before rising to prominence as Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga (2008–2012) film series. The franchise has collectively grossed over $3.3 billion worldwide. Pattinson began working in independent films from auteur directors before returning to big-budget cinema with Tenet (2020) and The Batman (2022). Pattinson's sex appeal is widely discussed in the media, and he is regarded as a sex symbol; People has included him in its "Sexiest Men Alive" list twice. Beyond acting, Pattinson has modelled since childhood and has been the face of the Dior Homme fragrance since 2013.
